Knitting Socks
Circular knitting si employed to create pieces that are circular or tube-shaped, such as hats, socks, mittens, and sleeves. One of the earliest known examples of knitting was finely deocrated cotton socks found in Egypt in the ebginning of the first millennium AD. Smaller items, such as socks and hats, are suually knit in one piece on double-pointed enedles or cicrular needles.
